Milk Coma

Jason woke up this morning with a little problem with his left eye. Being the paranoid new parents we are we rushed him off to the pediatrician for a look. It's only a minor deal that requires some salve to correct but it did give us a chance to have him reweighed on his one week birthday. Upon being placed naked on the very cold scale Jason treated the nurse and daddy to a pee-pee surprise. (Boy, this kid's got distance!) Once the excitement was over he weighed in at 8lbs 7oz which is a full pound more than what he weighed the day he came home from the hospital a mere 5 days ago! Our nurse practictioner was stunned saying that she had never seen a 30z a day weight gain. We seem to have a healthy eater on our hands and were given the go-ahead to let him sleep a little longer (4hrs) now at night instead of the 2 and a half we were at. Good news for mommy and daddy!!
