Cheerio!
I love breakfast time becuase it's when I get to eat my favorite....Cheerios!
They are so much fun to pick up and put in my mouth, and I am even getting really good at chewing them. Mommie seems to really like picking them up off the floor too, so I make sure to put a whole bunch of them down there for her!

Crawling Away
Mommie and Daddy thought I wasn't interested in crawling...boy did I have them fooled. I was just waiting for the right time. I figured last week was a good as any so now I am an expert crawler! Let me down on the floor and watch out, I have places to go and things to explore. I love opening drawers and cabinets, pulling everything out of bags that might be sitting nearby, and chasing keys. They were talking about having to Jason proof the house, I don't know what exactly that means but I am sure it will be fun for me!

Boloxi Blues
Mommie says I am a California boy and she is a Southern Girl. I didn't know what that meant but she told me that she was born all the way down in Mississippi and that her Daddy lives in Alabama. I couldn't believe that I had even more family that I would get to visit. While we were in Alabama I got to meet my Great Grand-Muzzy (she's 96 years old!) and I got to try all kinds of yummie Southern cooking. I LOVE grits and fried chicken and Mommie promised to cook them for me when we get home! Mommie also told me about the terrible hurricane that went through that area when I was still inside her and we drove over to Boloxi to see what had happened. We tried to find the house where she lived right after she was born but it had been a long time ago and she couldn't remember where it was. We got to see all kinds of places that were knocked down by Katrina. She doesn't sound like a very nice person and I hope that I never have to meet her. I had fun in Alabama and I hope I get to go back there sometime soon and play with my cousins.

Life's A Beach
We are in Clearwater, Florida now and I am having a great time. I have been having so much fun playing in the sand and swimming in the Gulf Of Mexico in my little boat. The sand here is really soft and the water is really warm. There are these little animals called coquinas that bury themselves back into the sand when you dig them up. Mommie also took me today to meet my other Great-Grammy. She took care of Mommie a lot when she was little here in Clearwater. It's too bad she died becuase I think I really would have liked her. I have really enjoyed Florida, it's a lot different than California but I think I am ready to go home now. Daddy says tomorrow we are going to get in the plane and fly West again. I hope I can come back here some time and go to the beach again.

The Lester Boys
Some of you may not know this, but I am a very important Lester. I am the only boy carrying on the family name. I am really proud to have this honor and I promise that I will make my Daddy, Poppa, and Great Grandpap very proud.

8!
I turned 8 today and I am also feeling so much better than I was yesterday. Mommie says I am not 100% yet but I am getting there. I finally made it down to see my Great Grandma and Grandpap and we had a wonderful Father's Day here in Ft. Myers. They were so impressed with my 8 month skills that I was showing off too. I did my cruising, vocalized my expanded vocabulary of Dada, Baba, and Blah Blah, I showed off my amazing Cheerio eating abilities, and my newest skill of crawling! Mommie said I would never do that but I proved her wrong this week. Grandpap showed me his really cool model airplanes and helicopters. The helicopter scared me a little bit at first but I got used to it really fast and wanted to try flying it too. Daddy said I have to wait until I get older though. Oh well. Tuesday we are going to Clearwater Beach where Nona grew up and Mommie lived when she was little. Mommie says we are going to swim in the Gulf Of Mexico and play on the white sand beach. I can't wait! I better start studying my Spanish, but not until after my bath.

There was P in that ool!
I'm sick. Not feeling good really sucks, especially when I am on vacation. Mommie and Daddy and me are trying to get to Florida for a 4-generation fathers day so that I can meet my great-grandpa for the first time. He wasn't feeling good enough to come out for Mommie and Daddy's wedding so I thought it would be fun to go and see him. Daddy thought it was a perfect reason to fly the Cirrus across the country so off we went. The first night we spent in Scottsdale at a really fun place that has this amazing water park. I got to float in my very own raft down a lazy river and then I played with some other babies in the Tad Pool. I thought the water was really neat and kept trying to drink it, boy was that a huge mistake. Mommie says that there must have been a virus in that Tad Pool that is making me sick because by the time we got here to Atlanta things got bad pretty quick. I had something called a febrile seizure and Mommie looked really really scared. They called 911 and some nice paramedics came and took me to the hospital where the doctors and nurses took good care of me. I'm back in the hotel room now relaxing and trying to recover so we can continue down to Florida. I think I will stick to drinking water from my baba from now on.

"Shotgun!"
Connor of Arabia
This is my friend Connor, he is married to my Nona and I love playing with him. Mommie says he is in the Air Force and is getting ready to take a trip over to Saudi Arabia for 6 months. I don't know where that is, but it sounds really far away. While he's gone Nona is going to come and live in San Francisco. That means I will get to see her every day which will be fun, butI will miss Connor a lot.

It's Not Easy Being Green
Last week Mommie, Daddy, and me had a picnic out on the Marina Green. I thought the grass was so much fun and I loved how soft it was between my toes. I asked Daddy if I could have some of that grass stuff and his answer was "Sure, why not!" We went to Home Depot and I had lots of fun riding around in the shopping cart while they bought big pieces of wood and black plastic pond liner. I had no idea what we were going to do with all that but it seemed like fun to me. Then we drove all the way up to Sabastapol to a farm where they grow the grass in a field and I got to pick out the softest kind they had. Then we went home and I got to watch Daddy use his power tools, he says they are his favorite toys. Mommie helped and I had fun watching them work. Pretty soon I could see what they were putting together for me...my very own lawn! It is so pretty and soft and even has flowers. I love sitting on it and crawling around on my tummy. Mommie even said it was ok to eat it, but I couldn't smoke it. I not sure how I would do that anyway so it's ok. I now own my very own real eastate.

Cruisin'!
I've got a new skill, it's called Cruising. I can stand up and hold onto something and take steps to get to something that I want. So far I like to cruise over to Mommie'e cell phone, the TV remote, Daddy's wedding ring, a glass of red wine, and anything else they don't seem to want me to have. It seems like way more fun than crawling so I don't think I'll ever do that. It also comes in handy at the park if I ever see a little chickee I like, I can impress her with my abilities and cruise on over to say hello.

Swim, Bike, Run!
Today I went and watched my Uncle Anand race in a triathalon. Mommie said he was escaping from Alcatraz but I didn't even know he was in jail! Uncle Anand did really good and I was happy to be there to cheer him on. I did my own triathalon this morning too, but my three events were eat, play, nap. I took gold!

"I want to ride my bycicle!"
Jason got in on the fun when we bought him his very own seat for the back of the bike. He seems to really enjoy watching the world go by from two wheels. After a few miles I think he found it a bit too relaxing....

Let's go Dutch
Last night I took my lady friend Camilla out on a sweet dinner date to Cafe Aix, a lovely French bistro in the Marina. The food was excellent and the atmosphere condusive to deep and meaningful conversation. We discussed wordly topics, current events, and whether or not plastc measuring spoons or plastic bells make better chew toys. Don't worry though ladies, I'm still single.
