Bye Bye Rain....Hello Sunshine! We have been incredibly lucky, (so we have been told several times) that we are visiting Australia at the end of a 7 year drought. The rain began the day before we arrived and even though Weather Underground.com has been hopeful in it's daily forecast, we had yet to see a break in the clouds. We made the best of our 8 days visiting the sights under our umbrellas and dealing with the damp conditions and still had a wonderful time in Sydney. We got to see all kinds of fantastic attractions including The Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Aquarium and Wildlife Park, The Maritime Museum, The Powerhouse Museum, Circular Quay and The Rocks, Harbourside and Darling Harbour, The Finger Wharf and Harry's Pie Cart On Wheels, Bondi Beach, The Blue Mountains (with a fun and fabulous ride to the bottom on the rain forest), Breakfast with the Koala's at Featherdale Park, Olympic Park, and the Sydney Tower (where we got to spy on our neighbors in the hotel through high powered binoculars aimed directly at the building!) We ended our trip with a Pirate Adventure on a Harbour Cruise and Jason and Jessica left feeling like they had really gotten into the Aussie Spirit. But I have to admit, as our plane touched down in Brisbane today and I was greeted with sunshine and 80 degrees, I am so looking forward to our next adventures! Be sure to check out the photos from all of our adventures here--->
