Want To Cuddle?
Today we got to experience the one thing we traveled across the globe for....genuine Koala cuddling! You see, this is an illegal practice in most of Australia, but here in Brisbane they understand the importance of this famous tourist activity and allow it under the strictest circumstances. The koala's are unionized and they are only allowed to work a total of 30 min a day, 3 days a week. This koala, Jasmine, was happy to cuddle with us and Jason took his job very seriously. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a wonderful place and we were able to also visit with kangaroos, wallaby's, emu's, and other native Australian animals. We also almost got up close and personal with one large iguana when Drea went to throw away the lunch trash. Thankfully, Jason saw it in time and warned her and all that happened was once scared scream. See other fun photos from the day here---->
