Showering Baby Peanut
Laura and Anand are in the final stretch for the arrival of baby Peanut, (or Ajay as Chad likes to call him). We all celebrated with an Indian baby blessing and American shower and had a fabulous time. Jason and Jessica really got into the celebration as well.

Mommie and Daddy are really turning into ski bums this season. With the amazing snow in our backyard (as Mommie calls it) we are up in Tatoh again. I decided that I needed in on some of the freshies and hit the slopes. The visibility was bad with the storm so I had to wear my googles and keep it easy on the bunnies this time.

We have tried several times (unsuccessfully) to hike from Muir woods to Stinson Beach with the kids. Something always seems to happen. yesterday the weather was perfect so we decided to take another stab at it this time making it farther than we ever have before- about 1/2 way! Both kids love being out in the forest and looking at all of the beautiful scenery. Jason LOVES riding in the backpack and it was Jessica's first time. Maybe next time we will manage to make it all the way to the end!

We have been trying to take advantage of the epic snow fall here in the Sierra's and took a little trip up to Northstar to play in the snow. The kids were very excited to see the white stuff and were ready to try out all kinds of new sports.

9 is sooooo fine!
Now that Mommie found her camera she is able to share my major milestone of reaching 9. That means I am almost double digits and I have all kinds of mad skills. I am totally mobile now cruising all over the place. Mommie and Daddy had to put up gates becuase if you put me down on the floor I am off like a flash across the room. I also have 9 teeth now and am chowing down on chicken, beef, and broccoli like my big brother. Filet is my favorite though! I also am quite the conversationalist babbling all kinds of current events. Mommie and Daddy say I am getting too big too fast. I don't think so though, I like being a big girl.

C is For Cookie!
Tonight we had a cookie party and boy was it a blast. Up to now I have been enjoying my cereal and veggies but now that I know what these cookie things are I think I have found a new diet!! They are soooo pretty so they must be good for me. I think I am really getting into this whole Christmas thing.

Jason and Jessica really love to play together. We are all amazed at just how much they interact. For now they play nicely together, but I'm sure there is hair pulling and fighting to come! For now we'll enjoy the giggles.

Big Boy Bed

When we moved into the "new house" it was time to say bye-bye to the crib and move Jason into the big boy bed! We were thinking ahead and got a bunk bed that they both will be able to use when they get a little older. Until then Jason has settled in nicely to the bottom bunk. So far he really likes his "new duckie-baba" and is happy to climb in every night. We were afraid that he would discover the new found freedom and wander the house on his own but so far he still waits for us to come and get him out of bed. Both kids have adjusted nicely to the new house and they seem to really enjoy their new room.

8 is GREAT!
I turned 8 months old today and I am getting to be such a big girl now! I am still a full inch taller than my big brother was at this age and I weigh a whopping 20 lbs. Mommie says I am tall and slender but that am starting to get really heavy now. Just to help her out so she won't have to carry me around as much I am starting to learn how to crawl. For now I am getting good at flipping over (which is so much fun when I am getting my diaper changed), turning around, and dragging myself across the floor to get at something but watch out, I will be on the move at any moment! I am also really good at standing and even taking a cruising step or two. I love eating bread, cookies, and cheerios all by myself too! I can't wait to be 9, check back then to see all of my skills.

Jessica has some new friends!
About the time she was born last April there was a baby boom happening. In the last 8 months we have welcomed Bryce, Samir, Sterling, Lila, Jack, Sadie, Matthew, and Jarvis. There is one more coming who will join us in April. Jessica loves having an expanding group of friends that she can play with. (Especially all the cute boys!!)
